Electrical Problem

hi, i bought a new battery for my car and me not noticing the plus and negative terminals were the opposite way round hooked it up to the car...

and now when i start the car, none of the electrics work until i give the car a good rev ive had a look at all the fuses but cant find nothing

anyone have any idea what this could be??

no idea what could be causing it.

although you could try disconnecting it and leaving it for 12 hours (overnight) and see if it fixes it.

sometimes time fixes electrical faults.

the polarity may be reversed.....ie. to change polarity on the old dynamo you would connect pos to neg and vice versa try the alternator as it may have reversed its polarity with putting the battery on back to front or it could have shot the alternater all together.

the alternator is blown, dont connect the battery back up the wrong way around unless you want to blow something else more expensive

ok, so replace the alternator altogether then??
