does nats come into ecu reprogramming?

here's the story..
i have car with nats which has been cammed etc and would like to have it reprogrammed.

however in the future i would like to put this engine into a lighter body (current micra is a looker with 16's etc), possibly a car which does not have nats etc.

the question is will i be able to straight swap engine and ecu from model to model?

any advice will be appreciated, thanks

best guy to speak to is Ed at fusion motorsports. he remapped my nats 1.3 ecu with a nistune board.
