Just bought a set of DLS speakers from CAD. I was going to sound-deaden the doors next but decided on the speakers so I could compare them with the out-going Pioneers. Because I want a stock look, I'm going to use the A pillar trims and tweeter mounts off of a P reg I stumbled over in a local scrapyard. The tweeter mounts had to be drilled out and will need reinforcing to accept the DLS tweeters. The photos show a drilled out mount and one with the tiny stock tweeter still in it. The other photos show the smallish crossovers next to my chocolate bar of choice and the OEM Blaupunkt speakers, the Pioneers, and the DLS ones and a trail fitting in the door. I've fitted an MDF baffle/spacer as the DLS speakers have a 63mm mounting depth verses the stock 46 or so. I'm also using the clear plastic moisture bonnet cut from the plastic door sheet but haven't yet decided where to mount the crossovers (not too many options!).
