my universal (cv) joint is playing up and needs replacing. do i have to pull the whole motor out to replace it or can i get from under the car??

you can get away with just taking the upper hub bolt out and slackening the lower one, then tilt it down and put it on full lock (slacken the 40/42mm shaftnut first tho eh)

» CMF MemberAll i did on mine was take the ball joint off and the outer nut on the hub. Then pull the whole cv shaft out. I got a full replacement assembly from CBC bearings. Inner outer and the shaft for 118+gst. Easy as pie to do.
