Cutting coils

Hi guys,
ive already cut 3 off front and 2 off rear and im thinking of cutting a half off each all round so it will be 3 1/2 and 2 1/2 , is this ok or will it be to much? thanks

wouldnt you cut less off the front seeing there is more weight ps just asking as thinking about doing the same ???

standard front and ive shortend the rear by pushing them up further and putting spacers in

Best get corsa shocks for the rear and coilovers for the front if you want safer lows imo.

its only half a coil more? drives perfect still? ill be upgrading to matiz setup in a few months anyway

It's about keeping the springs captive and matching spring rate/damper strength for comfort/safety. Plus matiz are only for fronts, still need a rear setup

it depends on wether the spring is loose when the car is jacked up or not. If it isn't it's dangerous. 3 coils off rear is the ABSOLUTE limit you can get away with on stock corsa rear shocks, and thats by playing with rubbers and using a spacer on top etc, so if you have 2 1/2 off already you're gunna be fairly dangerous. 3 coils off at rear is roughly a 80mm drop btw and is very low

Hmm, they might not like it. Maybe make a rubber ring to go on top of spring seat so cut end digs in, that'll help.
