coolant expansion tank.!!

i recently poked my coolant tank and put my finger right through it.

whats the best thing i can do for now.

firstly can i ask why you were poking it? lol and possibly try and tape it up or cover the whole till its possible to get a new one

Could just leave it. Mines had a hole for months.

It's not really used, just an overflow .

But surely if you leave it there will be problems. Its pressurised is it not? So if theres a hole will it not just all boil out?

Don't worry about it, had a hole in mine for about a year nothing bad happened

Expansion tank isn't pressurised, it already has a hole on the bit protruding out by the lid
