Carb Query

After a lengthy investigation of the K10 I believe the carb is leaking fuel, I have found a nasty substance at the base of the carb, mainly around the gasket area. I'm in two minds if it's oil or fuel. Are K10's prone to leaking on the carb? I'm considering not considering the oil as there belts/alternator is up the wrong end of the engine. The carb doesn't appear loose; I've found every rubber connectors from the vacuum advance/retard unit has failed so will need replacing.

Is Nissan the only place to get carb gaskets or can I get the aftermarket? Anyone got a good source for the rubber connectors or will any parts store supply these? (I miss fuel injection) *thinks* Fuel inject the existing engine!!!

You can make gaskets using gasket paper, i have one on mine. Costs about 50p, if that!
