budget tunning

hi guys, im 17 and a huge fan ov the micra k11.
im on a budget as im on aprenticeship money (which is s***)
i want the 1.0 beast to be quicker on acceleration what can i do???

any advice is good advice.

cheapest thing for the power increase is to drop in a 1.3 lump. and go easy on the clutch if you have a pre august 1998 k11.

Yes, I agree with "polar".... the easiest (and probably best value for money) method to improve performance would be to trade your current micra for the 1300cc version.

The alternative is to try some of the modifications suggested in the following article.

Mmm budget tuning..

Brings back memories of first getting your car, lovin it, and just wanting that little bit more zip out of it. The most exciting time out of the whole cycle of car modification I reckon..

Today I went for a spin in a mate's brand new Honda CIVIC VTi. Man, I'm hooked!!!! Absolutely loved it. Top, superb vtec engine, lovely extremely sleek whole body and aerodynamics, awesome handling, IRS and everything. Awesome safety and refinement. So bloody quiet. What a car. Full digital speedo and everything, lovely tacho and superb steering wheel. I almost got hooked. The top model has EPS (Electric Power Steering) too. I wouldn't rule out just getting something really efficient and zippy and modern like that if I ever feel like selling the Fairmont. Pick one up about 2 years old for like $10,000 less than they paid in the showroom and score a top, efficient and very funky vehicle.

You are a worry Cisco. I think you will forget the Micra very quickly as you are seduced by other makes.
