Best waterpump sealant?

Morning all! Going to do my leaky water pump soon. It comes with a pressed steel gasket but I've read it's best to smear a proper sealant on as well. A bit of Googling suggests Permatex Hylomar is the best. I've read that OAT coolants will eat ordinary silicone so that rules that out... What d'you recon ?

Tiger seal is some evil stuff!! I spent 2 months trying to get it off my hands after i used it! But pretty much any RTV sealant will do mate

using halfwards grey sealant
tough stuff,,done some screw/nail fixes on my slow leaking tyres too

i use black silicone rtv...dont need aload of it just a nice thin coat should do the job on both faces of the gasket
