anyone recommend an good MP3 encoder?

Basically I have AltoMP3gold that I use to take cd's and turn the tracks into MP3's to use on my PC. It only allows the first 10 tracks of every CD and then you have to pay to unluck the full product.

Can anyone recommend a good program that will do the same and not have to pay for registration.

I use "Cd To mp3 maker 1.15"

it has access to the freedb database so updates the tracknames automatically, however if any of the entries have symbols in etc, the program crashes :(
 
lol I'm just ripping my entire cd collection into Mp3's

This is going to take some time :S

Kev, im also doing the same. Got quite a few damaged ones which i've had to purchase again so wanna back them up just incase that happens in future!

Although I agree - some legal entities apparently see this differently.
