Anyone else had driveshaft oil seal issues??

Hola had issues buying my replacement seals so sent to Nissan to get some. They couldn't get none so bought some from a seal specialist locally. I've put 2 different sets of seals in over a week period. Both leaked loads. The ones I fitted yesterday where 56 Outside diameter and 38 inside. These one pulled out of thr box and stayed on the shaft- was a bit much grease on outside of box where seal fitted. Does anyone know if the 1.0 shafts are 38 mm diameter? My 1.3 shafts are 40 mm diameter.
Does a 40mm shaft require a 40 mm internal diameter seal? I put 38 internal and feels quite snug but maybe too snug?

Totally cant remember the diam of the ones i bought, but they were from Nissan. Dont see any reason why the cant get them.

Ones on mine worked spot on...they should be a tight fit on the gearbox, just make sure its all greased up and you dont pinch the seals when you put it all back together. Apart from that cant think why you'd be having issues. :S

yeh, the pre98 1.0 are 38mm and the others are 40mm kipsy

Ok cheers peeps. See which ones turn up from mat Humpris as he said he knows the right ones! Just can't understand it. Probably using incorrect size internal diameter, seal width etc
