Don't ask about the thread name its something my mate said,

right guys ive been meaning to start this along time ago but never got round to it and haven't really had the time so ive been modding and taking photos but didn't really have the time to write a blog and upload images :D

here we go will upload photos off my phone as its easier :)

this is the first day i got my baby i gave her a full t-cut and wash and then waxed her up nicely ;) anyway sprayed tow bar in some lime green that i had left from spraying my PC.

so de-badged the back because I'm just that cool :D

so I was all happy until boom!!.....

was down a back road and hit a patch of wet mud and gravel span out and hit a small bush no massive damage just a new bumper and bonnet.
 
so spent the next day fixing everything i could and straitening the dents out

which left me with this after a few hours and a few zip ties....

and put the dented bonnet back on until i could find a new bonnet and bumper :)
 
went shopping today at a brokers yard and bagged myself a new bonnet and new bumper for 40 quid 20 quid each with a free headlight chucked in :D i must say it was a squeeze to get it in the back of my mums DS3 but we got it in the eventually, so I got a red bumper with a crack in it and a grey bumper which is scratched to hell where is has been stood on in the brokers yard, the day I got it started rubbing it down and plastic welded the back and drilled a hole to relive pressure then...

all painted thought id stay with the grey bumper and see if it grew on me so sprayed the grills black and see how it felt few a few weeks and its stuck i must say but i do have plans to spray it white again i just havent had the time or the money to do it. got myself a new job now which pays for more than just fuel and insurance so can start properly modding my car and getting it how i want :)

so had some left over primer and flat black so went on a craze and did my center console as well as the door handles and any grey faded trim

so I saw a mazda mx5 with the whole side offset number plate and decided I wanted one so strait on the interweb and got myself one :)

so my best friend reversed into me because he is an ass hole :p so got 2 cracks in the front bumper so had a day free so decided to rip her apart fix my headlights as my left one was pointing to low as well as this had to remove some metal panels that were rusty as hell and just about hanging on, furthermore the exhaust cover on the underneath had rusted and bits have been rattling in the heat guard/protector, so jacked her up and removed this as well as all the rust on my car I wire brushed off and coated with rust protection. then filled and sanded the cracks and some other imperfections that were irritating me. took out headlight and drained the water out of it then re sealed it, all in all a good day :D

decidied that day to also de bump the side of my car which was a bad idea as I have the biggest blister on my finger!!! killed me for days but was happy with the result :)

installed my new super white headlights still not bright enough great on high beam but dipped I dont feel like I can see much even on highest setting :/

yeah man was old carpet out of my room and next door neighbors lounge carpet just cut to size :) great when your under the car :p and can hoover when its dirty :L

get that back bumper painted black to match the front, looks wrong with just the one :)

Wrap Around if you can find one, or even just a lip spoiler.
 
Looks a nice motor :)
I think it would look better with a white bumper and black trim like your rear bumper personally, just my opinion.
 
HID's are illegal in cars not fitted from standard with them. Invalidates your insurance too as nobody will insure illegal mods...
 
It's not worth it get HID lights. Osram night breaker is one of best xenon halogen bulbs. I will save more power and battery lifetime. You will waste more power and battery lifetime.
 
Okay its not that I'm not fussed I have them on lowest setting the pointing at the road and I've drove my mates car and he was in mine I wasn't blinded by the light or in my mirror just looked like normal lights just more blue and slightly brighter :D
 
Still illegal and STILL invalidates your insurance though.

I know I know :/ its not a lost cause I do listen its just nothing else works I've tried night breakers there all so dim and I put a post up on here and nowone could give me a reason why my lights were so dim, I do alot of night time country driving to get to clients and before I couldn't see more than 40m in front of me with high beams on, now unless anyone can suggest something else I'm not reverting :)
 
All 3 tried before I swapped I was on 100w rally lights and they were still dim I Duno what's wrong? I just feel safe driving atm so until I can find an alternative I'm sticking with these :D
 
I always go on motorways alot. I can see any traffic signs from 40m away. ( with using upgrade xenon halogen light bulb.) I bought £60 for it so its Phillip Xtreme. (You haven't try this out. Its so wicked! Check on my blue gx blog.)

You dont need to see 40m ahead so its impossible. I want to use upgrade xenon bulbs for my car because i need these for my motorway trips, my area are so dark and mainly for these traffic signs that you need to see/be aware.:rolleyes:

Asside from the odd accidental foray above the speed limit (which we all do) no. My GA swap is going to be fully declared, with a letterheaded confirmation on the engineering quality and safety from my work to the dvla and everything. You're taught a strict adherance to the rules and about accountability in the aerospace industry, because in the sky there is no such thing as a small accident. Which raises another point, if you use HID's and cause a crash and someone dies, thats manslaughter and serious jail time.
