1998 UK Micra Twister Pollen Filter.

Please can someone tell me if this has a pollen filter?
The car has air-con.
I have removed the glove box and cut out the panel behind.
Finding no slot to put the new filter into, I removed the fan motor and could only feel a 'metal radiator' towards the centre of the car.

Any suggestions/help appreciated

At least older european K11's without AC do not have it, which is pretty annoying since you have to clean the inside so often.
