1.3l head skim

Currently in the process of dropping in a 1.3 engine into my stage rally car.
Just wanted to get some advice on how much I can skim the head by. I read somewhere about 2.5mm does that sound about right? Seems an awful lot.

Thanks frank I've read that thread several times and am still confused (doesn't take much lol)
So I'm not looking to go for the 1.0l pistons into the 1.3 just yet. Head is coming off for a bit of an overhaul and thought hey while it's off just as well give it a skim.
So if I'm just looking at a head skim would 1mm do it?
Sorry to sound a tad slow here

a 1mm blockskim will reduce the combustion chamber by 4cc, a 1mm headskim will be a bit less because its a smaller dia than the bore and is ovalshaped.
so it will give a c/r of about 10.5:1

1mm will help a bit, but most engines are 10:1+ nowadays tho
2.5mm and some wild cams would make a big difference, but that makes the lower chain very slack tho

OK frank thanks for your knowledge as always. Definitely some food for thought there.
I'm assuming you have a way around the slack chain? What cams would you recommend? Don't want it to wild as I'm still finding my talent on the rally scene lol
