Cars developed a new not nice sounding noise, '95 1.3 CVT. 97k miles Sounds gearbox related, have checked carbon brushes all good and changed gearbox oil, but it remains. Noise is relative to engine rpm could it be bearing in gearbox or something worse failing?? only when car is in a drive...

Have something similar on a '95 1.3 only at idle though. Could just be worn tensioners.

Cheers for feedback. I'll leave it. Might as well do the whole shooting match of chains, followers, tensioners guides etc when its seems it really needs it.

hmm, Having just done a quick oil n filter change today, with 10W/40 Semi Synth. I was wondering how CG13DE's are on 5W40 fully synth? I use the above on SR20DE in Prim GT, so would be handy to run same and not have 2 different oil types lying round, don't want to go mixing in error really. taa

Have been gifted a K11 1.3LX CVT. 95k miles, in needs of some body work. All in all not to bad. But on idle there is a bit of rattle which I think is from the cam chain. Non under revs or loaded revs, just at bottom idle. Could this just be that it need cam chain tensioner replacing?

I wouldn't rush to buy one. Totally new platform and produced in totally new factories in either Thailand, India, China or Mexico. Probably Thai plant for UK/Euro spec cars. Will just have to wait to see how new buyers get on with them.
