They are 501 capless bulbs same as the side light bulbs. and karl is spot on just pull knobs off and carefully pull off plastic.

The way I am picking it up is that when you turn the key it just clicks twice then nothing. To me this sounds like an issue with the starter motor not engaging or something like that.

rusted earth points on the starter motor prehaps?

In relation to the washer jet bottle if you get one off a p11 primera the are square and can be fitted to the rear of the car on the passengers side. I have done this and extended the wires from the front to the back to power it. Then using the tube from the rear jet connected it to the front...
