It's up to you of course.... but don't do it !. This is illegal and is a major safety issue. The factory springs don't have enough tension to compensate for being shortened so the car will ride and handle very badly.... Do things properly, save up and buy some proper lowering springs...

Yes the fan is easy to remove... it's located in the same area under the dashboard as the resistor card. You just have to remove three bolts i think and it will drop out easily.

Hi LonePhantom, I suggest you check your heater/aircon fan motor first before putting in the new resistor card. I put a new card in once and it failed after about 30mins.... Turned out the fan motor was drawing too much current (and 'burning out" the resistor card) because it had a problem...
