hi, just an update, the new ignition switch came today and is now fitted. on stripping the old switch i found it totally burnt out and covered in black carbon ! just as well it was replaced... bought mine £11.49 from ebay. very pleased i did . steve .(hebburn)

hi, everyone. i have a problem with my 2002 1.0 k11. ignition switch. if i switch it on slowly 1 click at a time, its fine.. if its switched on quickly, most times i get no starting, just the ignition lights.( a few times ive heard a click from the starter.) after this happens i can try 5/6...

hi, brakes now sorted ! fitted a master cylinder from a scrappy, only £5. bled the brakes, & they are a lot better. with very little pedal travel. thanks to everyone who give me help & info. cheers lads. steve.

hi, max. yes, i did remove the master cylinder cap, as you can damage the seal if you dont .i gently used a wind back tool. the discs were not worn out, just scored due to worn out brake pads.i recently did my brothers 2005 galaxy tdi, same job ( pads & discs) his is fine. as is my 2004 tdci...

no. still the same ! going to recheck everything again. could possibly need the brakes bled. spoke to the 85 year old guy i bought it from, and he said it was fine when parked it up in march ( i got it end of june) prob not been looked after for a couple of years ( at least ) ah well at least i...

hi, max.thank you for your reply. spring is fine on the brake pedal. i have also adjusted the rear brakes so they just touch the drums( having fitted new brake shoes & a new cable on n/s) handbrake is on 3 clicks.dont know if brakes were like this before,, as car was delivered on a trailer...

hi, just fitted new discs & pads to my wifes 2002 micra, i have about 2 " of pedal travel before the pads touch the discs.(was like this before i fitted the parts) is this normal on a micra ? had it a couple of months now & getting it ready for m.o.t. thanks for any help/info. steve.

hi liamc. i know the age of the post. micra is 2002 so over 8 years old .(bought for the mrs) so info is helpful. not had a nissan since 2001.as always been a ford man. thanks for the help. cheers m8 !

hi, joesouthgate, that pipe whats disconnected in front of the carbon canister. mine goes down to the front of the gearbox. is this a vent pipe ? im only asking as my 1.0 is my 1st micra and i dont have a workshop manual.thanks steve. ( hebburn )

hi,as i have just joined the club, i thought i would ask for a bit of advice. i have a set of renault alloys (185/50/16 ) and they fit on my 2002 micra with 1mm reduction centre bore spigots. would this be safe ,and what would this mod do to the speedo reading ? a big step up from standard 14...
