Interesting, I did the very same thing opening when froozen, fixed it when it happened and recently been a nightmare, yesterday stuck with glazing grade silicon, how did u get to the front clip???. if it doesnt hold will try the glue you mention.

Hi. I foolishly went to open drivers door window back when it was iced up, fixed for a while but now keeps coming out of channel all the time, is there any sealant like silicone or gripfill that would keep it in better Thanks

starter motor finally failed, has being getting worse over the months, now when you attempt to start nothing happens, even with jump leads, so assume its not the battery, is it possible to remove the starter from above and is it easy to refurbish, with basic tools

That was going to be my question, do all micra's have a petrol warning light? I have a bog standard 998cc Micra, the red line is so thin once it hits the red line assume there is a gallon or so left, I have a little icon of fuel pump, is that also the wearning light?

Job Done Completes the job seems to be OK, had to drill out the cat where the spring bolt goes through, as didnt have stud extractor, what a fiddle to get the nut on..............

Gasket seal well both of the spring loaded bolts snapped and 1 on the cat....not too bad suppose, drilling them out was a pain as I dont have a vice and knackered a few drill bits in the process. There was no gasket between the manifold and engine just of a sort of silver colour silicon looking...

Manifold bolts well I managed to get manifold head bolts off, had put pb spray on for 3 days, one was already rounded off so beat a smaller socket on and did the trick, 2 of the bolts came out with the stud. As for the bolts joining cat to exhaust, think they are going to be a prob, didnt have...

I have a cracked exhaust manifold, managed to get another one to replace it, any tips on doing the swap? from google it seems the bolts can be a nightmare to remove, as on a tight budget goint to try and reuse the gasket Any tips appreciated:blues:
