I disconnected the lamda and read .9 volts on middle pin which confirms its running rich. Anyway of testing the temperature sensor?

sorry, me being thick (Brain still in sleep mode). Not checked the voltage yet as i have already taken out the temp sensor. I have checked the spark plugs though and they are black which to me indicates its running rich. I'm going to put it back together and check the voltage.....back in a bit.

so what would this indicate, faulty lambda sensor?

My 1litre Lreg micra has just started to idle as though it is on choke all the time, just wondering if any micra boffins on here could point me in the general direction. should i be looking at the temperature sensor or throttle body? can i test either of them to find out which is faulty...

Nope, car is off the jack when bolts are tightened, we have raised the suspension 1.5-2" at the front for more ground clearance and as seen from some of the photos taken of us it is clear that the wheel travels right up to the wheel arch when on stage, so there is alot of travel, too much maybe?

Thats what i was thinking, only I'm getting through a pair of bottom arm bushes each rally and was wondering if there was a way of making them lasting a little longer. I know of a chap who uses them on tarmac and the car is solid as a rock! Thanks for the reply frank. Tim

We have a rally Micra and bounce off the rev limiter every time we're competing. The only time I've known a micra engine to go pop is when it hit the limiter in 2nd then go to change to 3rd but hit 1st instead. Nothing the limiter can do when this happens. Thankfully this hasn't happened to...
