Has anyone experienced a sticky throttle. When moving off, you have to press down hard on the accelerator to get going.
Do I need a new throttle cable or can I clean and lubricate linkages
Few days ago, this part has dropped from the bottom of car.
Can anybody identify it, say what function is and is it critical - do I need to fit it back
I seemed to have asked the wrong question.
Maybe air hammer is the only way.
Tow to a garage or mobile mechanic with air hammer might be a way.
Hope the drift punch and hammer works.
If there are any other ways, pls let me know
I will need to remove old ignition barrel and replace with one from scrappy. And I gather at the scrappy they use an air hammer to turn the bolts on the ignition barrel.
I am on the drive outside my house and how do I get air hammer or other tool to do this. I can use a punch, or impact driver...
Many thanks for the info.
Two years ago, when I had the first patch done, I remember the MOT tester saying to make sure a larger than affected area was replaced.
Or otherwise you will have to have it done again.
He used a chalk pencil to mark out the affected area.
And now another patch...
Many thanks for responses.
One thing that puzzles me. Why its only on the drivers side. Does it mean the passenger side is not far to go? That would be ominous ...
Is it an end of life situation for most cars?
Luckily this Micra still works very well and I was getting ready for an oil change...
Thanks Frank.
Is there an inner and outer sill or just one piece.
Also I've seen RH sill being described as "5dr car". Mine is 3 door. Will same sill work for me.
Two years ago, part of drivers side sill needed welding to pass the MOT test.
Have now just come back from MOT test and its needed again.
Just wondered if others have come across this problem. Is it possible to get whole sill replaced economically?
Does anybody know names of any micra sill...
My brake pedal is spongy after changing the front brake pads and discs.
I've done my brake bleed. But the pedal is still spongy. There may still be air in the system. Could not attach bleeder tube securely.
Just need some help with choosing a one man brake bleeder.
I am not a garage so...
