Well i only got this on saturday. So here is a few pics of it as is now. Its 1998, 60k on the clock, sunroof and all that stuff and at last its a 1.3. Really needs coilovers cause its on stilts at the moment. Have a manifold ready to go on.
Next up over the next few months will be, coilovers, 14'' alloys with 185/50/r14 tyres, roll cage, body and bumpers smoothened, oil cooler, road cams, 1.6 injecters and throttle body, induction kit, discs and pads. Hopefully that will all see a nice gain as i plan on doing some trackdays.

Yes yes im loving the grill! How much of a pig was it to get the flat edge for the grill? Ive been tempted for a whiole now but am scared i will pig up the 90degree lip it has if ya know what i mean.

What tool/s did you use?

agreed.....very good job with the grill!!
apologies to ask! they facelift bonnet grill inserts........are you sellling these by any chance?

i used a small angle grinder. Had to cut slow to stop the paint fom burning. Also used a wet clothe to keep the bonnet as cool as possible. Also used a file to smoothen the sharp edges from what the grinder left. And some masking tape to mark out what i needed to cut. Done it in just over half a day. Main thing is to take it easy and dont rush.

Only thing i'd like to see is how it would look with other styles of mesh in, but im happy enough with how it turned out

Where did you get the coilovers from?
Are they adjustable? How much do they lower by?
And how much?

:D

just googled them, price seems good but i can't find anythign about how low they go?

I got the coilovers over here in Ireland,
Front Spring Rate 8.7kg/mm
Rear Spring Rate 7.2kg/mm
There 36 way adjustable
They lower between 40 - 120mm

Just checked, they were 722 euro +vat @ 21 = 875 euro all in, but if id of ordered 3 sets i could get them a bit cheaper. Took 2 weeks to get them

So thats £522 + vat = £671 roughly

coilover and seats now in

Got my seats in............
39.jpg

Front coilovers lowered and still have another 2'' to drop if i had the room........
36.jpg

Rears lowered but shock is too close to the top with no travel left on it......
37.jpg

Heres the finished height, had to raise the front a little so in this pic it doesnt rub at all with 15''s on, and i had to raise the rear so i wouldnt burst the shock absorber. Im happy with the front but had hoped the rear would be lower, but ive still to fine tune them etc so i may be able to get down 1'' lower if im real lucky...

That looks good with the new wheels etc. Making speedy progress on this (Y)

Well i hte things dragging out............... quicker its done the better..........although others like to take time to complete something whereas i cant wait till its done then its fun time and micra number 2, to mod different lol
