which Bulbs?

Im sorry if this has been discussed before but i cannot find it regarding k12s.

looking to buy one of those nice looking bulbs from powerbulbs.co.uk.

H4 fits k12s right?
Which brand? phillips or osram or powerbulbs?
which model?
easy to fit? is it difficult to get them to level?

they all brag about the same things, like 40-50% brighter, long range etc which is very confusing. please help!

oh i forgot to mention im looking at those 20 quid halogen ones.

most light bulbs are just normal every day ones with a bit of blue paint on: which after a month either fades to make the lights EXACTLY like normal ones or peel off which also makes a nice mess of your head/fog lights.

oh so its not worth it then?! i used to have a pair in my alfa romeo, it was ok but not as bright i thought it would be and i couldnt get them to level. one was shooting up and one was pointing down.

I have osram silverstar bulbs in my k10, and make a noticable difference compared to the halfords ones fitted before that!

i found they look good for a month then just go normal... maybe coz i brought cheapass ebay ones.. if you got decent ones they mite be better!

ive got philips in mine and fitting bulbs to the K12 is a right pain

Osram silverstars all the way. Thier fantastic. The Phillips ones have roughly the same amount of light, but the Osrams beam goes much further.

I have a blue tinge to the light from the Silverstars in the K12. Is that a sign of having powerful lights, I dunno.

I have fittled the Silverstars to all of the cars in the drive, people flash you sometimes when youre in dip becuse they think youre on main beam (yes my lights are aligned perfectly ). So they must be good .

Hehe . Well they've been in the Primera for about 2 years, and they still going strong. Been in the 2 micras for just under a year. The ones in the K12 seem a bit brighter, but that could be just the headlamp being more efficient.
