Seat belt warning light, ignition trick didn't work - clues?

Followed instructions to reset seat belt warning light, turning ignition on and off, but no luck.
Any suggestions on how to fix this, as its stopping me from passing my MOT!

I did try reconnecting the wire under the passenger seat, but the flashing came back.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

i havent even looked if my micra has a belt tensioner , but on 99% of cars i have had a seatbelt issue, its been a dirty/damp/disconnected/damaged plug under the seat.
usually damp shoes, kids toys jammed when the seats moved.
every technician jumps on the . diagnostics except me. in 30yrs iv found 2 with a fault. both merc's.
take a small hand mirror and inspect wires both sides, wires can get nipped on the side you cant see.

I'll do that, thanks for the info.
How do you repair these, do you replace the plug, or wires, or just reconnect the plug.
Yes - I keep shoes under there and all that wiring gets knocked around !

it will be obvious when you see it.
diagnostics in a garage is usually starting about £50 and labour the same per hour or part there off.
so your starting at a £100 repair of you cant be bothered to even look.

i cant remember ever fixing a nissan for any seatbelt issues, so im just trying to get you a direction to start checking in.
good luck
