what are the regulations for having a car de-locked and de-handle?

You must have another way of getting into the car, other than a remote keyfob.

For example, a hidden button underneath a wing mirror or something. Otherwise its an MOT failure....

you can have an overide system were an electrical device (battery) can be added that will brake the circuit and overide from the battery causing the door to pop open.

i have this and passes MOT fine

I think if you were in an accident, the door / roof would be cut off by the fire brigade, so i dont think you should worry about that!!

passed MOT with boot being manual.

Just make sure u re-connect the battery b4 u bring it for ur MOT! :laugh:
