Removing middle muffler?

Hi,

turns out the Kwik Fit exhaust recently installed by the last owner was not well done. quelle surprise. The middle muffler has a leak on it, well it is literally coming apart at the welded seams. Do you think it would be OK to just remove this middle muffler and weld some straight pipe in? A mate can do that =£0 cost to me. Or would it make the exhaust too loud? Seems like the end muffler is pretty beefy.

The mid muffler was removed on my blue k10 and with the standard back box i dont think there would be an issue on noise, would sound slightly throatier mabe but nothing excessive
