pure sex on 4 wheels

what bout austin mini, type 1,2,25 vw camper they go for silly money and a lot of people dont see why. same thing, personal preferance. if i had that money i would buy one jsut because i like it. but i would also pay 25000 for a 36 yr old american car that doesnt corner and does about 3 mpg. all down to what you like. besides dont you race a k10? and im assuming spend a bit of money on it?

i suppose its personal preferance, at the end of the day if you like the car because you think its cool thats ok, im not saying you cant have a fugly car that you like

all the cars you mentioned have caracter in some way or another, only stating that cos its light and it came with a stock lsd even though its got a solid axel it aint the best drift car and by far its a ugly looking beast

one car that looks fairly similar to that and costs £400 is a nissan silvia and thats got a irs and more powerfull stock but no lsd:(

the reaon its a cult classic is cos it started the drift revolution. the drift king himself started in one of these cars....cant remember his name.... japanese guy, wars green and wrote the drift bible...anyway.

what im saying is that thie AE-86 corolla is "is" one of the best drift cars in the world due to its light weight and "revvy" little twin cam engine. you have to keep the revs up high to drift it, and thats the skill..... if you can drift one of these you can drift anything.

he actualy said that any idiot can drift a supra / skyline or 200SX, but only the special can drift a hatsoroku....the jap name for the corolla.
it may be ugly... but then so is the Ford rs200...the metro 6r4 and the god awfull, afformentioned beetle...eeeyuk

but its all about taste, who would have thaught i would have gone from a 309gti owning wannabe rally driver... to a micra lover....i mean i allways thaught the micra was for girls... now i love em.

to be hones i dont know why the ae86 is so big in japan, probably down to the same thing like the rs turbo escort is so big in england?

they even had the silvia rsx over there with a fj20et, im sure that could drift better than a ae86.

might be due to the fact that the rsx was kinda a limited run and the corolla ae86 was the last rwd one, would it still be as popular if the corolla was still rwd to date?

if the silvia stopped rwd at the s12 and the s13 was fwd and the s14 and s15 was aswell would the s12 be a nissan cult car aswell?

i'd love an ae86 i think that there fantastic looking cars but they are going for silly money, if i was in the market for a 20year old rwd coupe i think i would go for a e30 BMW or a silvia after all another reson for the AE86's popularity in japan is because they were cheap.

yeah to be honest if i was buying a drift car i would buy an s13 coz there really chaep and powerfull. i would only buy an hachi as a toy, yeah apparently they are quite difficult coz theyre light with hardly any torque and have a short wheel base.

lol i have the 'Drift Bible' on dvd... and the guy says the AE86 is one of the easier cars to drive... he makes drifting look so easy.... but its not =(

i drifted my 309 gti into a field...........upside down...:glare: :glare: :glare:

lol, yeah, they're quite hard to drift as i am led to believe but when they do drift they are realy easy to control due to the fact that its realy hard to spin a car thats running out of power...thats light and that is on wide tyres...
