What happened to your EPS? does the PS red illuminate come on and lose power steering assistant? I just solved it out the same issue on my MICRA K12 1.2 SE by using N607 Fault Code Reader ease all the fault code on power steering ECU, than power steering came back.
I found these fault codes on PS ECU, C1606 EPS MOTOR, C1608 CONTROL UNIT, C1603 ANGLE SEN SET, C1604 TORQUE SENSOR. Probably that all the fault could possibly could exist on the PS ECU, just been two day don't know how long it will last, but I have a strong feeling it will last
Remember most low end fault code won't read PS ECU, if you getting one make sure it can read all the module on the vehicle, N607 is a NISSAN CONSULT II copy cat that's why I pick it up, ship from HK for total 80 pounds in 5 days, not bad save some garage fee buy my own equipment I may still need it some day.
