I would imagine this is similar to selling a boat/yacht. If you can afford to hand on to it, put it up for sale after the first nice day of next year. Bikes are seasonal no? worth less in the winter.

Its a question of space in the garage...I want to get a car in semi permenant and have plenty of room to work too.

For a buyer, winter is good because there are some serious biking bargains to be had

Yeah its better riding in some seasons than others...but a tonne of bikers ride all year around (like me)...just not in the dangerous weather....
