heh, i was looking at buying that black "afro ken" nissan march, but the price is a bit steep ($5600), and it's an auto.

it's coming to the time where im selling my car, it's a toss up between getting a toyota starlet glanza S (non turbo) manual.
for example...

Or a 1.3l manual nissan march (pref 2door in black)
and maybe one day put a bodykit on it like the one in the pic :p

since we're on the subject, what are the power differences between a 1.3l march, and a 1.3 starlet. it seems they are very similiar.

Speaking of Nissan UK...

Anyone care to grab a few of those Nissan Motorsport UK power up and body kit packages for the K11 2 door while they still operate?

(Nismo Japan is about to take control of Nissan motorsport UK last I heard)

There are so many March / Micra / Starlet / Glanza in NZ because NZ does not have tariffs & import restrictions to protect Holden / Ford.
It's ironic when you consider that the Micra / March was never sold new in NZ, all the ones we have are imported second hand from Japan (& a couple from Singapore)
The Starlet / Glanza turbo both use the 4EFTE motor. Don't forget about Toyota ponies, they're much smaller than Nissan's.
Nissan March / Micra are actually relatively expensive in NZ due to their popularity when compared with the rest of the vehicle fleet. My NZ$1500 U13 is in just as good a condition as a similar year K11 but that would go for more than twice the price.

Protecting holden and ford really sucks.

But is totally in the country's best interest, and if we didn't do that, we would NEVER have a chance of producing anything cool/clever.

More and more I realise we live in a bogan-centric country where you need to drive a V8 and be pretty stupid to be an average citizen. If you're smarter than the average aussie then you pay for it all round if you live here.

If anybody else saw the show (current affair i think) on tv last week they where talking about wharehouses closing down in Australia and moving them to China.

Even Holden where looking at moving some of there workload to China.
THEY SAID THAT AN EMPLOYEE IN AUSTRALIA THAT IS PAID $15HR COULD BE REPLACED WITH A CHINESE WORKER THAT WOULD BE PAID 70C PER HOUR.....

so why are we doing the local manufactures any favours by supporting them.
