What choice in tyres? Currently....
"Michelin XM1", (185/60), $120ea., amazed by wet weather grip! Dry grip improved too. Much better than standard.
Past tyres:-
"Dunlop SP9" (155/70), OEM, 40k life, avge grip, $129ea quoted!
"Continental EcoContactEP" (155/70), $75ea., 35k life, skinny and wander.
"Siamtyre Mustang" (185/60), $85ea., 50k life, no grip/lock easy, wild ride!
"Sonar S780" (165/65), $65ea., 40k life, avge grip, not good on corners!

I too am running these little Michelins on standard rims. I agree, excellent wet weather grip,so far nearly 60,000 km and still some life left in them yet! Over the years I have also run a selection of tyres including Dunlop and Bridgestones, not bad but not up to the standard of the Michelins.
