Lowering springs from mk2 golf

Hey was just wondering if lowering springs off a mk2 golf would fit the micra? As a Friend has a set and is willing to sell em cheap to me if they fit?

And also lowering springs off a subpar would they fit? Doubt it but worth a shot I can get em for close to nothing but don't wanna buy them if they won't for? Which they prob won't..

Measure them. Micra springs are 112/113mm wide.
Check the ends too to see they match

11.5mm coil thickness (11.25mm 1.8 and cabrio)
Mk2 Golf Rear:
94mm OD (98mm on cabrio)
10mm coil thicness (10.5mm on cabrio)

You'd prolly have to modify the spring seats and cups... not worth it when Micra/alto springs are cheap.
