Hi guys,i found a second engine + gearbox to play with,and i was wondering about lighten my flywheel by a machinist.
but i don't want him to break my flwhl so..
Is there someone who has done it?i need to know how much metal can be cut off this HEAVY dish!

i take them almost to the starter ring tolme, and this one was drilled too (to under 4kg)

Do you have pics of the 2 plates? cause i don't know if i can drill the 2 parts.can i bring all to the machinist and ask for plan the flw?i don't know if a planing can be done to the steel plate.
franck2 i don't understand (sorry i'm french!) "i take them almost to the starter ring": you drill between the teeth area and the clutch disc,this is what you mean?you drill the steel plate too?

i left a 1mm shoulder to hold the starter ring tolme (else the starter motor may knock the ring off)
and you can get them down to 4.5kg without drilling them
