Leaking coolant

Hi,

I have recently disconvered that coolant is leaking quite badly from behind the cylinder block. Havent located the exact location but it seems to be above the oil filter. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the best way to locate the exact location of the leak and if it is likely to be the coolant pump?

it may be the o ring at the back of the pump around the steel pipe, you could pull the pipe out to check

Thanks for the advice frank. Real problem I am having is gaining access to the water pump since it is pretty hard to get to. Do you think I will have to dismantle the drive belts etc to get to it?

the o ring is around the metal pipe on the other side of the block (at the back of the w/pump), the pipe is retained by 2 support bolts, iirc, and you pull it out
