K11. 1996 one litre. 3 to 2 gear shift

On our 120 000 miler, the downshift between third to second is becoming 'notchy'. Is this a sign of a failing shaft bearing, or worn selector?

even mine does that sometimes mate and its only 83k. I wouldn't worry untill something goes wrong, also check gearbox fluid level.

The old 'they all do that sir!' Ah well, it's reassuring. I changed the oil, £26 worth of full synthetic. Still sticky shift on that change down, but all the others are now easier.
Hot tip, make sure your favourite oil drain container has not gained a split since you last used it. Yuk.

why does mine shift down perfect lol must be lucky bah i hit 40k miles yesterday, since july ive done 4k miles just cruising around :/
