Ignition System Specs - Speeduino ECU on Coilpack CG10DE

Hi everyone, hope I'm not asking a question that's already been answered, but I'm having a bit of trouble clarifying a few things regarding the specs of the CG10DE ignition system in order to wire in a Speeduino ECU.

The Speeduino manual says that you need to run an igniter if your engine has 2-wire/dumb coils. I've had a look at the coils on my engine and saw that they have 3 pins, and from what I understand, they are signal, ground, and 12V.

This led me to think that they are smart coils, and an igniter is not needed. With that being said, I had seen videos of others using an igniter on their CG10DE or CG3ADE, so I used a multimeter to double check the coils and got continuity between the (what I assume to be) signal and 12V and also got a resistance of 1 ohm, which from what I heard, makes it a dumb coil despite having 3 pins.

To sum it up, would anyone be able to tell me if an igniter is needed and also if the signal from the original ECU to the coils is 5V or 12V?

Many thanks in advance.

Andrei
