How powerful are my speakers?

I have a W reg K11 and want to know what is the power (watts/rms) of the standard front speakers?

I will be running these off a 4x45watt HU and would like to know wether they will distort at high volumes or wether they will be ok.

They are only around 20W, but the headunit actual power will only be around 20Wrms anyway, so give them a try, they should be fine.

Otherwise, upgrade them!

They should be ok then as il have a sub, so will be able to turn down the bass to the speakers.

if you decide to upgrade them you will get noticeably better sound quality imo

I would upgrade them, but i dont know of any 17cm speakers that will not
require spacers to fit into the doors of the k11

very true i had to drill my door to make them fit, i think they were 16.5 cm ones

I have a 4x45w HU and i'm using the standard speakers. SURE, i COULD replace them, but to be honest i see no point. I don't have a sub, and I don't have rear speakers - and until I do, i see no reason to. They sound great up until you make them VERY loud - with plenty of bass. I dont think you'll be disappointed.
