Girlfriends micra 1.2SE 2004 not starting...

Hi guys

i am new to forum, my girlfriend bought a used micra 1.2se some 6 months worked fine until now. but one fine day last week it just decided not to start, its been lying in the garage since then. after doing a bit of research on google ive realised it is or could be a problem with nats making the car immobile.
any suggestions what we can do to get it started? or if i call the nissan dealer how much will that approzimately cost? any info will be of great help.

i would try the horn or sidelights to see if there,s any power in the battery S

im sure if i go to the nissan dealer. they'll rip me to get it started

where abouts in glasgow (going by the name) are you i might be able to lend a hand

i live in the city centre but the micra is in dunfermline not glasgow.
are you based in paisley?
