Gear Stick/Knob

When I put my car into 5th Gear the gear stick/knob starts to rattle alot!

Does anyone know what this problem may be as it is really annoying!
I only have the standard gear stick/knob on. I was told that alot of Nissan cars have this sort of problem LOL.

squarepants has told me its the gear join bush i think?. it just wants replacing i dunno how much tho.my car does the same thing

its the gear join bush, the busher wants replacing thats all. this is a common fault on the k11 it happens on mine aswell, its not serious so dont worry.

Are they easy to repair and does the part cost much?

It is seriously doing my head in LOL. I have to keep a hold of it or rest my knee on it to stop it but its annoying and uncomfortable.

you need to replace the gear selector rod that goes to the gearbox from the bottom of the gear stick. don't know how much new, but you could chance a scrappies.
