How to I open the front struts so I can change the springs?? It has a special nut on it.
I know you guys probably have a technique to it, please enlighten me

Impact gun whilst they are on the car is the easiest

obviously with the springs clamped yeah...?

If the car is sat on the ground yes
If not no not really
Once the nut is off. Put it back on 5 full turns then remove the strut

If the car's off the ground or the front strut is not fully loaded then definitely it's spring compressor time.
