electronic idle valve

lol its me again, can someone help in giving me info about the electronic idle valve pls

its like an electronic choke. when engines cold, it fully opens to allow more air to bypass the throttle which raises the idle rev to bout 1.3k rpm to warm the engine up quickly.
once the engines warm, the valve closes to resume normal airflow at idle and the revs drop to 700rpm.

oh oh pk thats so tell me how do i know when to service the valve
