hi, i was just reading thru the hyper rev and i notice that the kappatsu car runs the k10 super turbo gbox and a nismo lsd. is this hard to do? ie custom stuff? big $$?
Does the k10 super turbo box fit the k11?

» CMF MemberI believe they use the same gearbox, the K11 LSD gearbox has the same code as the ST one - RS5F31V - I don't think the mount points would be the same though

» CMF MemberThe k11 bell housing code is called FB40. This pattern fits k11, GA16DE (N14/N15). I thought that the K10 was different, but I'm not certain.
But the RS5F31V code is just the code for the guts inside the gearbox. So its a 31 series gearbox (which is stronger than the k11s standard 30 series box, V means it has a viscous LSD, and its a 5 speed manual for front wheel drive etc), but the bell housing code from the k10 is what you are after to know if it will fit the k11. If its FB40, then it will.

I honestly thought someone said that was the bellhousing code which determines the fitment to which engines etc.
Its like the N13 factory VLSD gearbox. Its meant to not fit because the N13 has a different bell housing to N14/N15.
