Hi all, long time no see...as you can see below, probably going to be even longer time and no see now, haha. I was rear ended by a large truck (tipper) while stationary at a set of traffic lights on my way to work this Tuesday. Car is a write-off, its creased up to the passenger door. I've been considering buying another Micra. But i think i'll be moving on, probably getting a small 4wd, suzuki or someting, not sure yet. Waiting for payout from insurance first.

If you see it at the wreckers or auction, here is the lowdown :p

1995 SuperS, A/C
225k, serviced every 8-10k since 90k when i bought it 4years ago
Has an SS250 FilterMAG still fitted to the oil filter
Front adj Koni's 100k on them
rear adj Koni's 90k on them
front and rear king springs
camber bolts (probably shagged)
castor kit
Rear panhard rod
175/60 ER592 Bridgestone tyres on 14x6 Rims
Interior in A1 condition, drivers seat lumbar a little soft though.
Clear side indicators
2in exhaust system
N14 front brakes
**Rear discs are warped**
**Bent up towbar**
Brand new RH engine mount
Nismo LH gearbox engine mount
No timing chain rattle when warm

I have some new and used spares that i'll put up for sale once i get another car.

Cheerio,

Alex

sad to see but can i ask why there was a bike rack and tow ball on a micra. This would not have the torque to pull anything. Tis funny to see that. But sad bout the car. What is next on the list

plenty of power for towing buddy, lol you own a micra and your bagging them, so funny! Heck, i moved house with my micra! it never used any more fuel with mountainbikes on the back, its a shame but you move on, probably to a Suzuki Jimny, different priorities these days. Love the jetski pic!

I actually deleted 5 from numerous people, I can restore them if you want to see them.

sikK11 - just relax, I only deleted them for Alex's thread and they were not all yours, however some were.

Alex's post was relevant to the topic title, stating he was moving on to the Jimny, I cannot edit, only delete whole posts.

Micragirl's post was relevant as she was offering advice about the Jimny to Alex, and as before I can't edit, only delete.

I'm deleting the rest of these posts, so please if you still have an issue send me a PM

Sean

Hi Alex, i am very sorry to hear about the demise of your trusty micra. I am glad you survived the crash unscathed, that's the main thing. Good luck with finding a replacement car that suits you. I have never owned one myself but i have always thought those Jimnys are very cool.... There seems to be quite a few aftermarket parts and specialists around for them. On the subject of small 4WDs i know someone who has a Diahatsu Terios, it's never let him down and he reckons it's great, might be worth considering if you need four doors and a bit more space ?. Cheers

Hi Alex,

So sorry to hear about your little Micra but glad to hear your ok. Like you I have not posted on this forum for a long while but I still enjoy checking in every now and again and seeing what everyone else is up to. I still remember your little beast when we all met down in Canberra for the Micra 10th anniversary meet (ahh, those were the days)

Good luck with whatever you choose to buy even if isn't a Micra, I know you will treat it well.

Regards,

Henry (M5)

No i am not joking. I have never seen one. Several members have told me they do it very easy one even posteed a pic of it towing a jet ski bigger then the car. So no i was not joking but have since be told differently i never thought of towing anything with a micra. Tis why i have my hilux.
