Just thought i'd post this up for other members potential modding:

Stock 1995 Super S (2.0l pulsar brakes, heavy Auscar 14in alloys, most of whiteline gear)
2" Press bent exhaust from first catalic converter with resonator and cheap noisy muffler

0-60 10.30 Best | 10.70 Avg

Now Relocated battery adn positioned CAI with Pod Filter in place.

0-60 9.16 Best | 9.38 Avg
1/4 17.03 Best | 17.48 Avg

pretty good results without any extractors. And not leaning out yet either,

still very much learning how too launch properly. On launching for the 9.16 17.04, i had a bit too much wheelspin, was kinda spin steering/torque steering all over the place for a good amount of 1st gear..heh

Thats good mate,

At the moment i've yet to get a good run on the g-tech since getting the flywheel and everything..i need a new clutch first..any hard driving and = slip = sad aaron.

get down to the strip and get some 0-400m times

ahh so your time you did at the strip was that with a stock flywheel? hmmm...just realised my front tyres are at 40/42psi hot, maybe i'll get an elusive 8.xx 16.xx with them lower.

beginning to think i should stop spending money on the car, another year and a half of uni too go yet and don't even have insurance atm, getting very scared of huge debt and no car if something bad happens. Evil credit,

Alex

here's my times for 100% stock standard micra, except suspension mods. (no engine/wheel/brakes mods done)

17.828 @ 75.06 mph
17.807 @ 70.47 mph
17.744 @ 76.33 mph
17.633 @ 66.32 mph
17.805 @ 76.20 mph

these are real-world drag strip times, not very inaccurate gtech or simular results..

not bad ghetto, yeah i know what you mean about inaccurate. But (for the price their selling for on eBay) its useful for tracking the improvement of additional mods to your car using the same piece of road,

These were my times at the heathcote drag strip.

1 2 3 4 5
60ft 2.50 2.56 2.56 2.63 2.7
1/4 16.65 16.72 16.69 16.92 16.93
sp 82.81 82.96 83.41 81.97 82.93

I found it difficult to get of the line on the day whether it was the water they put down for the burnouts or just not my usual testing ground who knows. It would be interesting to know what your 60ft's were like getto as I felt mine were fairly poor. This was with the mods on my profile including 185/55/14's. On the street I used to drop/ride the clutch at about 4000 for good launch on that day I had to settle back to 2500 to not get huge wheel spin.

Good thread Alex.

Thanks for sharing the results, very interesting!

I guess the g-tech is only good if it gives constant results - which it seems too. As you say you can then track the improvement mods do which is very nice!

Personally I have the apexi one but its a pain to use. I wish it would time every 0-60 you do so you dont have to fumble about with the buttons!
