2003 1.2L K12 vs 2008 1.2L K12

Hi there

Looking for advice - I have a 2003 k12 Nissan Micra 1.2L which is off the road, unable to get it insured. I'm curious if its engine is the same as a 2008 k12 Nissan Micra 1.2L? Reason being, a friend is moving away and sell their 2008 - thinking I could use my own 2003 for parts if anything was needed done
