18k service - nearly died!!!

Phoned up to book my 160SR in for it's 18k service (an FP2 service)...

£240!!!

Nearly died!

Apparently, it's filters, plugs, oil etc and 2hrs of labour
£79+vat per hour!!!!!!

It's a bloody micra not a mercedes!!

thats £93 inc vat per hour, what a rip off, the techies only get about £10 per hour and they have to supply and use their own tools.

Am I right in thinking you have to get the K12s serviced at Nissan to get a service light reset?

I hate taking cars for a service. Not just because of price, I put Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil and NGK spark plugs i my cars, and when I tell them the oil and spark plugs are fairly new and OK, they still change them, even when they say they wont!!.

So I get some cheap oil and very cheap champion spark plugs at a hefty Nissan price. The car leaves the garage in a worse state than it arrived.

why dont you do it yourself if its that bad..just buy the parts from nissan and you fit them

but you can always go back and get it stamped..plus its on their system as being serviced there so you have back up.

Iv forgot to stamp the books a few times, customers come back - most of them alright about it too lol
