After a day of heavy rain I can hear water splashing when driving near/under the right side (driver's side for me). i found my spare tyre in a pool of water and unplugged the drainage holes but that didnt seem to help with water getting trapped under the car i am guessing the tail lamp seals...

hey frank2, pardon me but what's a tickover? i'm assuming idle rpm it's at somewhere above 750 and below 1k mark now without gears engaged. that's pretty high. with gears engaged it goes slightly above the 500 mark.

frank, the problem here is the engine stalls when the aircon goes OUT near the end of a stop, which really sucks. there's no rattle. but why is it that shifting the distributor gave no response?

Hey kevin thanks for the tip. I do notice some clicking noise when the engine hits about 3k rpm, could it be a cylinder failing to spark causing the noise? my distributor seems to have a loose piece of rubber coming off...

Just to add on... it does not always happen unless i get so unlucky the A/C cuts out at the right time, but it gets really frustrating when it happens! I also realized the A/C thing (don't know what it is) attached on the firewall is not original nissan. Would that be a culprit? I don't get...
