    Choosing a K11

About the brakes - did Nissan go with an identical setup for all engines? And is the rest of the car identical in terms of stability? That's important if I want to increase power here...

    Choosing a K11

Alright, I'll see what I can find. Thanks a lot for your help!

    Choosing a K11

Apologies, what I meant was if a car that already has them is harder to find so that an axle swap makes sense?

    Choosing a K11

Thanks for the info! About the interior: I actually like the cloth one as it's more comfortable to me, and it means I can redo the cloth (probably a good idea with over 100.000km's worth of use). I didn't know there were ones with rear discs! Is that something to look for when buying the car, or...

    Choosing a K11

Hello everyone, I'm considering getting a K11 as project car. However, I'd be doing just about everything you can think of to it, so I want a solid platform. It obviously shouldn't have any (major) rust, and as far as I understand, going with a '99 or later is advisable as those have the...

    K12 recommended head light replacements

In case someone wants chrome instead of black ones - I bought mine from "DM Autoteile" (German company) on eBay. They're good quality, everything fits nicely and they look just like the originals as well.

    Retrofitting heated seats?

Talked to my mechanic today. Turns out mine does have seat airbags (I didn't notice the little "SRS airbag" tag). That means we can't reupholster them and thus we also can't put aftermarket heaters in there.

    Retrofitting heated seats?

Thanks for the link! Luckily I already have that manual. Maybe someone else knows their way around the wiring? I could probably find out myself given enough time, but some help is always appreciated :)

    Retrofitting heated seats?

Looks like I'll have to settle for aftermarket then. Kits like the one I linked usually require switched 12v, permanent 12v, ground, and light 12v (on when the lights are on, not sure what the correct word is). Where would I find those to tap into?

    Retrofitting heated seats?

Turns out it's pretty much impossible to get the heating elements here in Germany... https://www.ebay.de/itm/GENUINE-NISSAN-MICRA-K12-HEATED-FRONT-SEAT-ELEMENT-87635AX300/141919549292?hash=item210b10776c:g:YioAAOSwmmxW2GK0 This is the only eBay listing I've found at all. There don't appear to be...

    Retrofitting heated seats?

That means if I manage to get heater element or a whole seat as well as the buttons, I should have heated seats! Awesome, thanks a lot for your help!

    Retrofitting heated seats?

Here's the unplugged connector. It's coming out of a small harness coming from below the carpet. There are other wires from that harness going to the seat, but I didn't get a good look as there's very little space.

    Retrofitting heated seats?

Hey everyone, my little K12 is apparently as minimal as it gets - no extras of any kind. I'd like to have heated seats though and apparently there were Micras that had them fitted. Since the wiring harness appears to be mostly standardized (e.g. containing wires for electric mirrors when they...

-06 Micra 160SR of Mika The Finn

This article here is in German, but that's what Google translate is for: https://www.blafusel.de/obd/obd_betrug.html If I were you, I'd save the money on that dyno run...

    3d printing an intake pipe...

I don't like the idea of rerouting the pipe, since I know too little to do that properly. Besides, I still hope that the space is enough to not get the pipe that hot... Thanks for the tip with the thermometer, I think I'll go that way and see what kind of temps I'm getting right after a ~30min...

Collection of 3d printed parts for the K12

Since there's quite a few parts that can be 3d-printed, I thought I'd take the time and maintain a collection here. The goal is to make it easier for everyone to find parts, and I can add feedback so we can see what works and what doesn't. Image Name Link Rating Comment Expansion Clip /...

    3d printing an intake pipe...

Thanks for measuring it! Did you get measurements of the pipe to the airbox as well (since this is the part I'd like to replace)? If it doesn't get much hotter than that, I should be in the green...

    3d printing an intake pipe...

I found John_D's thread on improving the airflow to the CR engine a while ago and decided I'd like to do something similiar. The problem is this: Apparently, it's basically impossible to find that intake pipe (from the Renault Megane) here (in Germany), and I'm not sure if scrapyards have...

    Chip tune !

I read (on here actually) that both 1.2 engines are supposedly completely identical. Does that mean that if I found a tuner, I could bump my 65hp to 80hp plus whatever extra you'd get from tuning the 80hp engine?
