Yeh , I ripped the heat shield off the CAT on a old K11 and it still pased the MOT .

Easy , Just take a resistance reading across the plug of the old seats with a OHM meter multy tester , if the resistance is zero - full continuity then u wont need a resistor all u need to do is short the plug wires to extinguish the warning light ,

The Steering wheel came loose on me Micra , apparently its a common fault with them but it wasnt dificult to retighten it , here,s a couple of pictures to help anyone else with this problem .

Sounds like a new one to me , They usually say they have changed the throttle valve and charge £80 when in fact all they have done is change a fuse or squirted WD40 on damp electrics .

Found the fault on me heater after testing every thing else i finaly tested the motor and found no fault but on reasembly the heater worked so the problem was a bad contact at the blower 12v plug . Here are my test pictures to help any one with the same problem . move the 4 way blower...

Think i paid £25 for that part but that was about 8 years ago for our lass K11 . its a real fiddly squeese of a job to get out but there is only one screw holding it in if i remember right .
