I'm going to be replacing my driver's side button this weekend (weather permitting). I've got the service manual and it suggests taking out the window runner in the side of the door, did you need to do this or can you work your way to the keyless button once you've got the door card off?

Got it, disconnected the battery for about 5 minutes and tried again, worked first time :)

At some point the boot catch has become damaged. The plastic has snapped off and a spring was popping out near the latch. I've managed to fix it back for now but want to change it. Will any K12 boot catch work or will I need a specific one because mine has the keyless entry? Also, how easy is...

I've just tried the reset again as well as some slight variants on it from youtube and still the same. Are there any connectors besides under the driver and passenger seats I could check?

Well good news! Took it back to the garage and it turned out that some road debris had got caught in the brake disc and was rattling around. Five minutes in the garage and it's all sorted!
